Importance of public cleanliness

human beings live in society’s. Our social environment therefore plays important part in our individual health. We live in village, towns, cities. In such places, our physical environment is decided by our social environment. For example, just think that would happen if there’s no agency to ensure that garbage is collected and disposed? What would happen if one no one takes responsibility of cleaning the drains to ensure that waste water doesn’t get collected in streets or open spaces?

There are heaps of garbage and trash littered here and there, or if there is open drain water lying stagnant around where we live ,the possibility of poor health increases. So, public cleanliness is also an important contribution to an individual health

Importance of personal hygiene in 2020

Our health is affected not only by unbalanced diet but also by disease causing organisms which may be water-borne,airborne or food-borne. Some diseases are caused by infection through microorganisms, insects and parasites. Infection develops when gems/microbes (I.e., viruses) or some-pathogenic (disease-producing) organisms such a bacteria, fungi,Protozoa, helminthes, nematodes etc., enter human body. Therefore, to prevent the infection of diseases ,we need to keep our environment clean and hygienic. Personal hygiene and community hygiene help in prevention and spreading of diseases.

1. Some funny tasks

I simply believe in ensuring that my hands – what I use to place food in my mouth – are clean before I eat. I have the same standard of cleanliness for myself that I do for anyone working in the food industry. Next time you’re in a public washroom, see how well the people around you wash their hands and ask yourself if you’d want them preparing your food.

I once had to make a mental note to ensure future handshakes with my boss were avoided (or at least followed by extra thorough scrubbing) after an encounter in the washroom. He emerged from the stall and ran the water for half a second while he poked his fingers under the tap almost as if he was trying not to get them wet – the same way you quickly passed your hand through the flame of a candle as a kid – and dried them by flicking his fingers. He did not use any soap. If this little display was for me, what did he bother to do when there wasn’t a witness?

Is carbohydrates good or bad 2020

Carbohydrates have bad reputation, no matter what benefits they have. However, tales attached to their negative health effects are not completely untrue. Therefore, the idea of eating carbohydrates becomes controversial. Specially, the fitness enthusiasts and those looking to lose weight often advocate cutting down the carb-intake. But what everyone usually forgets is that carbohydrates contribute as body’s main source of energy. The body breaks down these complex compounds to release energy. There are downsides attached to them too. Let’s look at advantages and disadvantages of carbs.

1. Advantages Carbs are source of energy

Carbohydrates are body’s main source of energy. They help in strengthening muscles of heart, kidney, brain and central nervous system. For instance, fibre is also a type of carbohydrate that keeps body’s digestive system healthy. It provides energy and helps in getting rid of toxins from the body.

2. Carbs keep body healthy

Carbs also help in keeping you full for longer, so you don’t end up over eating. These can also be stored by body in muscles and liver. When there is a carb deficit, body can utilise these to generate energy. The energy that the body gets from carbs helps in focusing, relieve from headaches and nausea feeling.

3. Crabs are good source of vitamins

Even foods like fruits are crabs but they are good carbs. They also meet body’s vitamin and mineral requirements. Similarly, if you include range of vegetables in your diet, that also counts for healthy carbs.

1. Disadvantages Carbs result in weight gain

Yes, body turns carbs into energy but in the absence of proper workout, these keep getting stored in the body. Thus, they aid in weight gain. Also, body finds it difficult to use the carb surplus. Therefore, if you have excess amount of carbs in your diet, there’s a possibility that body is not putting it to healthy use, and it turns into fat. It is better not to take refined carbs but reply on natural sources.

2. Carbs makes arteries to thicken

Foods that have high amount of carbs are usually high in fats too. These two when consumed in high amounts can make the arteries to swell. This condition hinders the smooth flow of blood and may also result in serious health conditions like heart attacks and strokes.

3. Carbs intake also result in brain fogging

High intake of carbohydrates can dampen brain’s cognitive functioning. It results in confusion, nervousness and agitation. Therefore, it’s required to limit the intake of carbs or rely on good carbs for their health benefits.

4. Carbs may cause Type-2 diabetes

Carbs are eventually converted into glucose to produce energy. The glucose is nothing but sugar. Therefore, high amount of sugar in blood may result in the increased risk of type-2 diabetes. Even if you are not diabetic, consuming too much of carbs can put unnecessary pressure on insulin-production in the body bringing to a halt. This results in increased blood sugar levels.

As you see there is 3 advantages of carbs (carbohydrates) and also there is 4 disadvantages of carbs I hope you have understand the points

Importance of health & fitness 2020

As soon as you wake up in the morning, you find yourself juggling about a million tasks that all seem to need to be done at the same time. It’s already tough enough to create a healthy balance between work, family, hobbies, and friends while still making time to eat and sleep each day! With all these commitments, obligations, and activities, making time for fitness and exercise may seem next to impossible. However, there are all kinds of ways to fit quick workouts and healthy habits into your busy day, without taking too much time away from any of the other items on your to-do list. On the island of Saba, students at Saba University take advantage of the amazing hiking trails and outdoor fitness activities when they can, but here are a few examples of things you can do in between classes, during breaks at work, or any other time you can fit in a few minutes of fitness

1. Stand At Attention

Did you know that standing rather than sitting at your desk all day burns more calories? Many office employees have ditched their old desks and purchased standing desks, which allow them to stay on task without staying on their behinds. Some standing desk models feature adjustable shelves, allowing the user to alternate standing and sitting throughout the day. If you are unable to procure a standing desk, you can still take frequent stand breaks at your desk, or designate a 3-minute period per hour for standing up at the copier, scanner, or other office equipment while you work.

2. Dance It Out

At the end of a long busy day, when the kids are in bed and you’re finally able to kick off your shoes and relax, it’s a common tendency to want to flop on the sofa and start scrolling through Netflix. Before you get too comfy, why not take a quick five minutes to pop on one of your favorite party tunes and take a little dance break? Not only are you burning calories and fat, but you’re also releasing feel-good endorphins, which give you the little pick-me-up you need at the end of another hectic day. Dance alone or with your favorite partner to turn your living room into a mini nightclub!

3. Step by Step

We all know that walking is a healthy, effective way to burn calories and stay active. Taking short walks during your workday can help break up the monotony of sitting still behind your desk and get you moving. Since a sedentary lifestyle has been linked to a number of conditions, including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and obesity, it’s essential to try to fit active bursts into your day. Take time on your lunch break to enjoy a quick walk around your corporate campus, or start walking, rather than driving, to the deli or coffee shop where you buy your meals. If you’re unable to get away from the office, try to get up t least once per hour and march in place for a minute or two. You’ll be amazed by how much more invigorated and awake you’ll feel!

Before the industrial revolution, fitness was defined as the capacity to carry out the day’s activities without undue fatigue. However, with automation and changes in lifestyles physical fitness is now considered a measure of the body’s ability to function efficiently and effectively in work and leisure activities, to be healthy, to resist hypokinetic diseases, and to meet emergency situations. Alcoholism, also known as alcohol use disorder (AUD), is a broad term for any drinking of alcohol that results in mental or physical health problems. The disorder was previously divided into two types: alcohol abuse and alcohol dependence

Health and Fitness: Today’s society is obsessed with the most superficial layer of health and fitness, which is physical appearance. Many highly promoted and popular methods to look better are actually very damaging to our health and fitness: extreme diets, toxic cosmetics, pills, steroids, surgery, etc. Money and Career: The society we live in encourages blind consumerism and materialism. As Tyler Durden from the movie Fight Club puts it brilliantly: “Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don’t need.” And it’s not only advertising doing that, I would add.
